Splitgate Releases Infographic Showing a Successful Year
Splitgate released an infographic to show how great the year has been and the game has been downloaded by over 15 million gamers. More than 7 billion portals have been created and more than 6000 years of Splitgate played by gamers in 2021.
The FPS is still under development and is expected to release a next-generation upgrade for Xbox Series X and PS5 owners in 2022.
What’s Splitgate?
Splitgate, also known as Splitgate: Arena Warfare during development, is a multiplayer first-person shooter videogame that can be downloaded for free from 1047 Games.
The game is based on Halo-inspired sci fi combat in battle arenas. Players can create wormhole portals from two points on the map, which have been compared with those of the Portal series. They can also fire weapons and travel through these portals. It was available for Linux and Microsoft Windows via Steam on May 24, 2019, and on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 on July 27, 2021.
The developers announced on August 25, 2021 that the game would remain in beta for an indefinite period and released Season Zero.
